Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Silent Auctions Continue to Benefit The Omega Horse Rescue Fund
McLain Ward generously providing historic championship coolers for auction
Leave it to McLain to be so totally generous and thoughtful. He is, and has been, in my mind not only one of the greatest talents, but the greatest ambassadors of our sport. This is just another example. The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament has many championship coolers from historic wins with McLain, Sapphire and other great horses from Castle Hill, you can own with all funds going directly to one of our mutually favorite charity, the Omega Horse Rescue Fund. Beautiful items such as “The American Invitational” championship cooler in the scarlet Budweiser colors, from 2008; a second win there with Sapphire, and numerous other wins of equally significant magnitude such the 2009 Horse of the Year cooler, awarded to the great “Sara” aka the mighty Sapphire. Ironically it was none other than Tony Grossman, a part owner of Sapphire who purchased an earlier American Invitational Cooler while attending the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament 2017 this past August.
We undertook this activity at this past August’s Silver Oak Show with great success raising thousands for the all-important work of horse rescue. Own a piece of history and help a great cause in the process. Please complete the short form to present your offer and we will keep you all current on Facebook with the winning bids being announced a twice monthly.
For this next auction we have one before-mentioned cooler from The American Invitational from 2008, and an the 2009 Horse of The Year Champion Cooler. Both are pictured here humbly modeled for your convenience by my own horses Eurostar and Lady Guinevere. These two pieces are all the more historic with the passing of Sapphire and the end of an era with the American Invitational. Own a piece of history. As of the publication of this Newsletter are now accepting silent bids for these great items illustrated below. Join McLain and myself in promoting a great cause in a truly unique way. Our great thanks to McLain for making this possible. Pick out that spot on a favorite wall in your home or barn and rescue a horse in desperate need for our help.
