Sold Out! Silver Oak Jumper Tournament Reaches
Optimum Capacity

…as promised show has stopped accepting entries for this year’s event

Halifax, MA – August 5, 2015 – The staff and management of the 2015 Silver Oak Jumper Tournament are excited to announce that the show has been officially sold out for this year and all entries have been cut off.

“In our sport, in our industry, for those viewing this from  that perspective, horse shows are typically a business. In the case of the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, it’s a passion, a codification for our mutual love of the world’s most beautiful sport,” said Show Chairman Jeffery Papows. “It’s also uniquely focused on Jumpers and only Jumpers versus hunters and equitation and a host of other variants that populate most larger horse shows. It’s not right or wrong, but it is different. Because the motivation stems from a different non “coin operated” type event, the experience is the priority, rather than maximizing the economics.”

So, with that in mind, we want to thank all of the equestrians who have entrusted us with their equine partners, we are thrilled you will be with us. You have our promise we will endeavor to reward that trust. For those of you who did not manage to make a decision and get your entries to us before we stopped the train, we apologize and hope we can serve you in 2016.

In addition to entries, every table in the VIP Tent is sold out.

“So let’s talk about the good news,” said Papows. “We have many of our sport’s top guns with us in 2015; the level of competition, the product we will collectively put on the field, will be stellar, in fact, our best ever. We have again over invested in refreshing our all-weather footing, drainage, stabling, and jump inventory. We have, both in the Unicorn Landing Farm Grand Prix Field and the CMJ Sport Horse all weather Jumper Annex, brought world class course designers,” he said. “We are thrilled to have Olaf Petersen Jr. with us again. We are equally excited to bring a young horse specialist and world class course designer in Michel Ismalun, who will build specifically for the all new Classic Champions Young Jumper series, debuting at Silver Oak for the first time in 2015. Both builders, with their wealth of knowledge, will ensure a safe, and inviting set of tests that make for great competition, but also great experiences for our horses.”

Papows went on to say, “There is a lot to look forward to here, in the here and now. TV coverage reaching five million homes is something our sport doesn’t get nearly often enough and something we need,” he said, speaking of the wall to wall coverage that will be provided by NESN, the New England Sports Network who will have cameras throughout the show grounds in preparation for their unique special that was so popular last year.

“We will have the first ever Silver Oak ‘Farm Volleyball Tournament’ during our first ever Pig Roast and BBQ on Friday end of day,” he outlined. “As we have expressed in the past, our riders will always enjoy free food and beverages in the spacious and comfortable Davis McCullough Rider’s tent during the morning and afternoon sessions.”

The Rider’s Tent features comfortable leather couches and chairs, with tables and furnishings, along with free breakfast daily, afternoon snacks and beverages to include beer and wine, all offering our busy owners trainers, and rider’s an oasis from the heat of competition.

Our Official Beer sponsor is Sam Adams. “We need to give them a tip of the hat too,” Papows went on to say. “I’m confident they will have their best summer brews in evidence for our exhibitors of age.”

We’re proud of our staff and I know you can look forward to an efficient and pleasant horse show office experience. Our awards and presentations will underscore the hard work that it took to get you here, so to speak.”

“So in short, Papows concluded, “we look forward to  serving those of you who made the cut, and we regret that we cannot accept further entries. But, in all honesty, it’s a nice problem to have.”
