ALDEN PARK IS THE CATERER FOR THE SOJT VIP LUNCHEON

Nestled into the village portion (smaller shops to the right of the center) of Colony Place Shopping Mall, we are an independently owned modern American restaurant that focuses on our customers, quality of service, quality of food, exquisite atmosphere, and proud to be distinct and different in what we offer.

From the parking lot, you can easily find us by our blue entryway and flanking blue flood lights bathing the front of the building. As you enter our establishment, you find a large welcoming bar with 26 seats surrounded by a high-top eating area on 3 sides. Adjacent to the entry, we have a function room capable of holding up to 40 guests seated comfortably and 60 if in a cocktail reception configuration. The rear of our establishment is designed with popular booth seating as well as tables capable of seating up to 54 guests. We also have a large function room off the back of the restaurant capable of seating 100 people comfortably and 150 if in a cocktail reception configuration. This room has it’s own bar, kitchen and 85″ TV for use to play video, presentations, or watch any event on TV. Our softly lit outdoor patio, centered around a unique water-fire fountain has a combination seating of tables for dining and lounge furniture to relax in and enjoy our oasis.

Whatever the reason, we look forward to being able to host you in the near future.

THE SILVER OAK JUMPER TOURNAMENT NOW A 501 (C) (3) CHARITABLE CORPORATION

From the founding of the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, we have endeavored to support important charitable organizations.  Historically the MSPCA, various therapeutic riding programs and children’s charities that benefit those who are seriously ill.  In October of 2016, after a long and appropriately tedious application process, we have now been named a registered 501 (c) (3).

This has serious tax advantages for our numerous and critical sponsors without whom we could not put on an event of this magnitude.  As “The Rider’s Horse Show” we want you to enjoy not just top sport, but the good feeling that comes from supporting an organization designed to do good things.

We are happy to announce today that we will be supporting Danny & Ron’s Rescue, and The Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.  This dove tails perfectly with the magnificent efforts of our perennial presenting sponsor, Victoria McCullough of the Davis McCullough foundation, who is singularly responsible for thousands of rescues and adoptions of horses otherwise destined for slaughter, and spearheading government efforts that have effectively banned horse slaughter in this country.

“The setting is lush green fields with inviting friendly settings for exhibitors and their children complete with a fun house full of toys. There are fanciful foods, beautiful sponsor autos, flowers and laughter. The Silver Oak should be renamed The Silver Heart because here horses and their welfare are the first consideration. Top competition blended with compassion and we’ve chosen two of the most meaningful charities saving horses from slaughter and dogs from unbearable abuse and neglect. It is the honor of The Davis McCullough to dedicate our unconditional support to this Iconic event” said Victoria McCullough.”

Danny & Ron’s Rescue

Danny & Ron’s Rescue speaks for helpless animals that have no voice. They began their rescue mission in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina by aiding dogs that were left homeless by the storm. Since then, their outreach has grown to heights never imagined. Now they are rescuing puppy mill dogs, bait dogs used in dog-fighting, and hundreds of dogs from shelters—often moments away from euthanasia. They currently deliver pet food and supplies to more than 48 elderly people living in poverty—and pay for their dogs’ medical bills, too. They have rescued dogs from junkyards and shelters, freed animals chained to trees and living in small cages, and saved abandoned pets living on the streets.

Danny & Ron’s Rescue is unlike any other rescue organization. Because an abused or neglected dog can only recover and learn to trust again when it is in a loving home, Danny and Ron have turned their own house into the ultimate safe haven.

The Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center

The Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center has placed more than 1,300 horses. Their work is not limited to one breed, and will help horses of all breeds, ponies, donkeys and mules for placement into new loving homes.   Regardless of how they arrive at Omega, by way of neglect, auction or donation, their mission remains clear and constant: Educate horse owners on the true responsibilities involved in equine care; legislate the humane treatment of horses everywhere; and find appropriate homes for unwanted, abused or neglected equines.

As part of our program to support The Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, and in cooperation with our great friend McLain Ward of Castle Hill Farm, we will be using our website and social media channels to auction off numerous championship coolers McLain won and has very generously donated to The Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.

“What Jeff has done with The Rider’s Horse Show, the SOJT, is truly unique and I know from firsthand experience with Jeff and participation in his show it is a labor of love.  It’s on my schedule—August 16-20, 2017.   Beyond that the fact that they support two of my favorite charities makes this very important for all of us”, said McLain Ward.

Please put us on your schedules and follow us on Facebook to get an opportunity to own a piece of our sports greatest memorabilia through the generosity of McLain Ward, and to help The Omega Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Center.
